Youth and skills
In London I worked with Transport for London and the London Transport Museum on an ongoing consultancy basis, including developing their flagship STEM Enjoyment to Employment initiative, a formative programme which reaches 50,000+ children and young people every year at key points throughout their learning and development with the aim of encouraging them to consider a STEM related career path.
My role involved programme development; from stakeholder engagement and strategy, to programme and materials design, to delivery and evaluation.
Route into Work offers a good example of my contribution; a 3-day accredited training, which harnesses the Museum’s rich transport collection and industry connections to support young people into careers in the transport industry.
Since 2010, Route into Work has helped 100’s of young people into transport opportunities, including those who are considered under represented, such as women, ex-offenders and those with disabilities.
I have also co-designed a number of other professional development packages and methodologies for the Museum and TFL, covering topics such as Reflective Practice, Operations and Governance, Project Management, Networking and Going Freelance.
